Our core values

Youth and Adult Partnerships: We foster productive and structured youth-adult partnerships in our programs, trainings and operations.
Community and Relationship Building: We are committed to having a strong presence in the communities in which we work.
Learning and Teaching: We create and maintain a “learning and teaching” environment that allows us to both capture our knowledge and disseminate it nationally and internationally, to youth, practitioners, and policy-makers.
Leadership and Advocacy: We play a leadership role in advocating for public policy and systems change, and we afford people the opportunity to have such a leadership role as well.
Innovation: We keep the spirit of innovation alive at Clirt by piloting new project ideas and creating new modes of working with the youth and the elderly
Inclusion: We aim to include all youth and community members in our work, and to have programs, staff, and a board that reflect the communities in which we work.
